Jimanica, a composer/drummer, based in Tokyo, Japan, also a member of the trio called “d.v.d” with two drums and visual programmer? Who has won honorary mentioned prize in Prix Arz Electronica in ‘09.
His latest original EP “Pep City” has the most pop sensibility in Jimanica’s entire work ever, also from his early career, he has been working on making his music coexist with pop music, even though it was an experimental approach, he made it successful.
He played and recorded all instruments except female chorus, which is performed by Anna Yamada, a singer who has been working together since Jimanica's first album.
You will be filled up with 90’s flavored funky-electronic music, synchronized with melodic drums and chopped voice collage. This is the “funk-scape”.
